ENVIRONMENTAL & SUSTAINABILITY

RESPONSIBILITY

“Change begins with us, and every small step is vital towards the goal of sustainability”.

Our objectives are to minimize the impact we have on our environment, we focus on achieving no waste through our production process.

Our Timber Engineering products are designed to meet the highest levels of industry sustainability by reducing the carbon footprints associated with our construction products.

We are in continuous practice to protect our natural environment from any adverse impacts by undertaking initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility and encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

We trust that together as a team we can make a big difference that leads to sustainable change! That’s why we encourage every stakeholder of our organization to participate and understand their responsibility in this mission.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

We commit to establishing, maintaining, promoting, and improving an environment of sustainability and environmental responsibility in the whole organization.

We are committed to sustainable procurement policies and source all our timber from sustainable sources. All of ATE’s timber suppliers are signed up to Sustainable Wood for a Sustainable World (SW4SW) and certified under either the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) or Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

We have also adopted ‘Digital Transformation’ as a means of communication within and outside of the organization and implemented technologies in our processes that save time, reduce wastage, and promote sustainable methods of communication & production.

Apart from this, we are in a continuous process of energy-saving and are installing Solar panels on our new building in 2023 which will lead towards reducing our carbon footprints on the environment.

ATE - SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES

Manufacturing timber frames is our first step in this direction that promotes the most renewable and sustainable form of construction in order to promote an energy-efficient and air-tight home that ensures zero-carbon emission.

Another thing that makes Timber Frame construction sustainable is that we can reuse it, in the future in building houses again which in turn reduces waste.

Timber frames create tremendous benefits irrespective of self-builders or developers.

Benefits include fast methods of construction, time-saving, energy-saving, and reducing the overall cost of a building due to less labour requirement, and lower environmental impact on the environment.

Altogether it makes the whole process of construction ecological and sustainable.

ATE -ENERGY SAVING AND CARBON FOOTPRINTS REDUCING PRACTICES

Armstrong Timber Engineering understands the necessity of energy saving and for that reason, we are in a continuous practice of finding and adopting ways that can reduce energy consumption.

In Order to save energy and reduce carbon emissions we completely switched on to energy-efficient appliances within the organization, and reduced the amount of consumption wherever possible, and are planning to install solar panel in 2023 to reduce our dependence on external electrical supply.

Our other step is to promote a ‘Driving Less and Save More’ campaign where we have a Bike-for-Work - Scheme that enables our employees to cycle to work to reduce fuel consumption.

ATE -ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES

We understand the urgency of implementing recycling & waste management strategies, to reduce carbon emissions effect from the environment. Reducing carbon emissions is vital in order to reduce global warming collectively. Keeping in mind we are not only focusing to reduce the overproduction of products on our site but also integrating techniques that neutralize existing negative effects of carbon emission at every stage of our operation.

Our major key steps are as follows:

  • Identify areas of waste products throughout the manufacturing process.

  • We are implementing a waste management activity that not only focuses on reducing & recycling the waste produced on our site but also undertakes the most sustainable methods of manufacturing that in turn minimize the probability of waste.

    For Instance:

  • Minimizing waste production by employing Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling techniques at every stage of our operation.

  • We operate within full compliance with waste management legislation and ISO 14001:2015 to ensure that all operations and activities are fully compliant.

  • Through training and support, ensure that all staff is aware of their responsibilities under Environmental Law and how compliance can be achieved and maintained.
